Orion was a chemistry student at Reed College. The tiny boxes in the vacuum-sealed glass container they’re holding each contain chondrite meteorites shot through with veins of proto-planetary matter - tiny time capsules from the birth of the known universe.

Grant was 99 years old in this photo and recently engaged to be married. He spent that whole summer taking rideshare trips four times a week from his house in Beaverton to his sweetie’s assisted living home to visit. He told me that his favorite thing to do was to sit and sing to her.

This Captain N letter jacket was a recent acquisition from the Nintendo store, and Anthony was visibly excited about it. We geeked out ranking Zelda games and bonding over the shared trauma inflicted on an entire generation by Ocarina of Time’s Water Temple. He noted that there's a significant population of folks in Portland with a preference for Majora's Mask.
